Everton to demand 'Premium' fee to sell star player as Goodison exit stance emerges - report

The newspaper on its website on 15 August that there has so far been no approach made by the Red Devils to sign the Belgian international. But with the inflated market for other midfielders during this transfer window, it said the Toffees could demand a “premium” transfer fee due to the 21-year-old not looking to force a move out of Goodison Park. There have been a number of big-money moves made for midfielders during this transfer window, with Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham and Moises Caicedo all commanding fees beyond £100million. That means Everton hold all the cards in this situation and can place a large price tag on the head of Onana, knowing that they don’t have to sell him. That situation could change if the midfielder decides to try and force through a move, but that looks unlikely to be the case because he seems relatively happy at Goodison Park for the time being. After making his move from French club Lille last summer for a reported £40million fee, the Belgian signed a five-year deal on Merseyside. That gives the Blues an extra edge if Man United do firm up their interest in the player, as there is no pressure to allow him to move on with the player still happy to play for the club.
