Princess Charlotte sends sweet three-word message to Lionesses ahead of final

Prince William and Princess Charlotte wish Lionesses good luck Princess Charlotte has given a sweet three-word message to the Lionesses ahead of their game on Sunday as she appeared alongside Prince William in new clip. Sitting with her father, who is also the President of the Football Association, she grinned at the camera as she held onto a football. At the end of William's speech, Charlotte added: "Good Luck, Lionesses". The message, posted to her parents’ social media accounts, was well received by royal fans, judging by the replies to the video. One person replied: "Lovely message of support, and wonderful to see Princess Charlotte! So proud of our Lionesses, wishing them the best of luck for tomorrow." So amazing to see Princess Charlotte." Another royal fan continued: "Awww what an adorable video!! Princess Charlotte is such a beautiful little girl. Thank you for this wonderful surprise and good luck Lionesses." Prince William has been criticised for deciding not to travel Down Under for the final, reports the Mirror . It is understood he decided not to travel to the Lionesses' final because the trip would have involved flying across the world for a short period of time, and there were other ways he could show support for the team. Instead, he will watch the match on television as he cheers the Lionesses on. Don't miss... We’re sorry we can’t be there in person, but we’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved and the millions you’ve inspired here and around the world. So go out there tomorrow and really enjoy yourselves." For the opposition, Queen Letizia of Spain and her younger daughter Infanta Sofia are making the 9,400-mile journey to Sydney for the match in order to show the 'country’s commitment' to international football. They beat Sweden 2-1 last Tuesday to reach the final as they, and England, attempt to become the first country whose men and women have become world champions. William did not attend last year's men’s World Cup, staged by controversial hosts Qatar, due to a busy winter schedule at the end of last year. England only made the quarter-finals but it was understood his office might have looked at making arrangements had Gareth Southgate’s team reached the final.
