Major road closed following crash as emergency services called to scene - live updates
A major road in south Wales is closed in both directions following a crash. The A449 from Coldra to Usk is shut, with police and the fire service in attendance. Traffic Wales confirmed at 2.07pm: "Collision: A449 Between Coldra and Usk," with Gwent Police adding: "Emergency services are dealing with a road traffic collision and there is a full road closure North and South bound from Coldra to Usk. "Diversions are in place which may cause congestion. Please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey." The closure appears to cover an approximately eight-mile stretch of the road. A spokesperson for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service also confirmed the service was at the scene.
