Gordon Ramsay back with Gino D’Acampo and Fred Siriex for new series of Road Trip
The three chefs all have ties to Manchester Celeb chefs Gordon Ramsay, Gino D’Acampo and Fred Siriex have announced a new series of their popular travel show. The chefs, who all have ties to Manchester, will reunite for the Road Trip food show which will see them travel around Spain in a one-off special believed to have been filmed before Gino left the series. Advertisement Advertisement Gino D’Acampo has the popular First Street Bar and Kitchen at First Street in the city and Gordon Ramsay opened his Manchester restaurant, Lucky Cat, earlier this year. Fred Siriex, also famed for First Dates, fronted Manchester restaurant show Million Pound Menu. Earlier this year D’Acampo announced he was leaving the show, which saw them travelling around the globe tohether on foodie adventures, due to issues around the filming schedule. The celebrity chef claimed it was difficult to align schedules and ‘get the dates together’, but that even if they could, the dates ‘did sometimes get changed’ causing him problems with booking other jobs and trying to find time to spend with his family. Of making Road Trip, Ramsay said his co-stars were ‘wonderful, fantastic, incredible pain in the a**es’, while Sirieix said it was ‘fun while it lasted’. Advertisement Advertisement But now the trio are back and heading to Spain with Gino, Gordon and Fred: Viva Espana! Show bosses have told viewers to “expect more stunning locations, high-octane surprises and – above all – a determination to have the time of their lives in what looks set to be their most outrageous road trip yet”. The new series will be available on ITV1 and streaming service ITVX next month, though the exact date it will broadcast has not yet been revealed.
