Oher alleges he was tricked and deceived by the Tuohy family for financial gain - despite Sean and Leigh Anne selling some of their businesses for $200+ million before Oher's existence in their orbit. Prior to his introduction to the Tuohys, Oher bounced around between homelessness , foster homes and living with his crack-cocaine addiction. Oher's father was murdered while he was a high school senior. On X Wednesday night, Whitlock attempted to convey something of misguided resentment on Oher's behalf, aimed directly toward the Tuohys. 'Your dad never takes responsibility for you,' he wrote of Oher. 'Your mom never tells you she loves you, repeatedly abandons you for crack cocaine, and renders you homeless. But the truly evil people are the rich white folks who didn't negotiate a good movie deal for you. Only in America.' BlazeTV journalist Jason Whitlock once more ripped Michael Oher for filing the legal petition Oher (center) filed a legal petition against Sean (left) and Leigh Anne Tuohy (right) on Monday Whitlock continued in his efforts to dismantle Oher's claims on his BlazeTV show Fearless with Jason Whitlock Wednesday night while simultaneously shredding football reporter Mike Florio. The latter expressed on Twitter earlier Wednesday that implied the Tuohys' 'affection' for Oher was not as advertised. 'It's hard to reconcile the Tuohy family's supposed affection for Michael Oher with the blistering statement they authorized their lawyer to issue on their behalf,' Florio wrote . These comments set Whitlock off, who went as far as to suggest should the racial roles be reversed, the media reaction, and burden of proof, would be vastly different. 'This is the mindset that has been promoted when you put on racial lenses to evaluate everything,' he said. 'Because everybody knows that if a black wealthy couple had brought a homeless white boy into their home and made the sacrifices the Tuohys did, Michael Florio wouldn't tweet any of this garbage out. No one would believe Michael Oher if his name was Michael Weinstein.' The 37-year-old Oher filed a legal petition Monday in a Tennessee court, accusing the Tuohys of willfully tricking him to profit off his rags-to-riches story, of which they were central. Sean Tuohy said the family - inclusive of Oher - received an equal amount - $14,000 - from the 2009 film. Naturally, this is in direct opposition to Oher's claims. The longtime national columnist didn't hold back while discussing Oher and Mike Florio Oher is seen with Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy after the NFC title game in January of 2016 The Tuohy family has indeed sold various franchises for $200million, meanwhile Oher - who played eight seasons in the NFL, made $34.5m after being taken with the 23rd pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. According to the family's attorney Marty Singer, who provided a statement to Dailymail.com Tuesday, Oher demanded $15 million from Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy before filing the petition to end the family's conservatorship - and supposed financial control - over him. Both Oher and the Tuohy family were immortalized in the 2009 Academy Award-nominated film which received widespread acclaim due to its feelgood nature and idealized tenets of family and the condition of human decency. In 2004, while aged 18, Oher and his birth mother signed paperwork which made the Tuohys his conservators - in other words, they were able to legally act on business interests in his name. In his 2011 best-seller I Beat the Odds , Oher described his version of how it came to be. 'They explained to me that it means pretty much the exact same thing as "adoptive parents", but that the laws were just written in a way that took my age into account.' He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens with the 23rd overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft Oher joined Marshall Ramsey on Now You're Talking with Michael Ramsey Monday morning, to promote his latest book; When Your Back's Against the Wall , adding another layer of curiosity as to the timing of the filing. The 37-year-old has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with The Blind Side film and its portrayal of him - even suggesting it affected his football career . On Tuesday, Oher asked the public to respect the privacy of both himself and his family amid the legal battle. 'I am disheartened by the revelation shared in the lawsuit today,' Oher told People.com in a statement. 'This is a difficult situation for my family and me. I want to ask everyone to please respect our privacy at this time. For now, I will let the lawsuit speak for itself and will offer no further comment.'
