Flemming, 47, was on-and-off the field for three innings at Oracle Park against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, picking up foul balls and abandoned bats in the Giants' all-white uniform, while also discussing with manager Gabe Kapler at times. 'I gotta hustle, man. You do not want to get in the way of the game,' he told NBC Sports Bay Area . 'I'm going to be icing down after this. I may not make the it up (to the booth) for the fourth inning, we'll see.' Flemming has been the play-by-play voice for the Giants since 2003 and tuned into Monday's radiocast midway through the game, despite San Francisco eventually coming out as losers, 10-2. 'It's a lot of work,' Flemming said of his role as bat boy.
