Atkinson, 25, on Wednesday will be selected for England's bilateral series against New Zealand and was told by the selectors on Tuesday night that he will also be in the touring party for the World Cup in India , later this year. He was clocked at 95mph in the Hundred last week, playing for the Oval Invincibles against Manchester Originals. It was the first time Atkinson had bowled to Jos Buttler , England's white-ball captain, in a competitive match. Atkinson is uncapped in any format for England at the moment, but that is likely to change after enjoying a fine season for Surrey in both the County Championship and the Twenty20 Blast.
