Atlanta-based opened a new lounge at on Tuesday. It is the third Delta Sky Club at the carrier’s northeast hub. The lounge has a breathtaking view of Boston’s historic harbor and 21st-century skyline. It is located at Terminal E on the international concourse, where Delta provides service to 10 overseas destinations. At nearly 21,000 square feet, the new Club can accommodate over 400 travelers. The city’s famous harbor inspired the interior design, incorporating colors and textures reminiscent of Boston’s nautical history. Delta Sky Club Managing Director Claude Roussel said the lounge has a unique feel. “While no two lounges are alike, the layout and Boston-inspired details in this Club make it feel truly one-of-a-kind. From the moment our guests enter the lounge, we want them to feel transported — not just by curated design, but by the care and hospitality they experience from our ambassadors.” With its expansive profile, the interior shape was designed to mimic the graceful curvature of a sailboat, and the wood and metal arches transform the elongated space into intimate and inviting areas. Washed oak features around the lounge symbolize wood on a ship weathered by the elements and are intended to give travelers the feel of sailing aboard a classic vessel. Accents of navy, teal, and terracotta highlight the color of the bricks in the Boston skyline while showcasing the gradient sunset seen over the harbor on clear evenings. The Club is also LEED-Silver certified, promoting sustainability. Travelers can await their flight by working, socializing, or simply relaxing and taking in the views with various seating and six soundproof phone booths. Designers also considered comfort and privacy, as the lounge’s restrooms include two family rooms and five shower suites – with two of the suites built to be ADA-compliant. The space includes two full beverage bars, but Delta said the premium bar is perhaps the most eye-catching as it Visitors at the lounge will be treated to premium food and beverage offerings with a buffet of fresh, seasonally inspired items.
