The horror incident happened in Alvaston at around 4pm and a large police presence remains in the area. One of the three injured is reportedly seriously harmed and was taken to hospital. The sports event took place at the Derby Kabaddi grounds on ELvaston Lane in Alvaston. An eye witness described a man being shot and then attacked repeatedly with a sword, saying: 'One man was shot and then when on the floor chopped up with a sword.' Three people have been injured, one seriously. 'They have all been taken to hospital. There is a large police presence in the area and officers are expected to remain at the scene for some time.'
